Breaking: Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar have declared they will leave the country before Trump takes office on January 20th, 2025.

Goldberg hit back at Trump after the former president brought up a meme touting a long-hawked allegation that Goldberg planned to leave the U.S. if he won.

Whoopi Goldberg is certain about two things: the existence of aliens and the fact that she’s not going anywhere — even if Donald Trump is elected in November.

The 68-year-old Oscar-winning icon addressed on Monday’s episode of The View a long-standing rumor that she’d absolutely leave the United States if Trump became president (a theory hawked as far back as before the 2016 election, when Goldberg questioned remaining in the country under Trump, but didn’t outright say she’d certainly exit the country.)

You know what I’m a little agitated about? That man had something to say to me. He saw meme,” Goldberg said, referencing Trump’s recent criticism of the inaccurate assumption that the Ghost star would vacate her home and escape to a different nation. “People always see these crazy memes that I’m going to leave the country if he gets in there. Somebody else thought I was leaving, was sending suggestions for people to take my place. Look. I’m not going anywhere, okay?”

She continued, calling Trump a “lil snowflake” for bringing her up.

It’s not for the reason you think. He said nobody wanted me. Honey, well, you know what? It wouldn’t matter if no one here wanted me, but I know where I’m going to be because I got a contract, so I’m going to be here where I’m wanted for the next couple of years,” Goldberg said, amid shouts of praise from both the show’s audience as well as cohost Sunny Hostin. “We’ll be right back.”

On Sunday, Trump responded to a user’s meme on his Truth Social platform that featured a doctored image of Goldberg alongside text that read, “I’m moving to Canada for sure this time!” Trump replied by writing, “Canada doesn’t want you Whoopi, NOBODY DOES!!!”

Goldberg and her View cohosts have long spoken out against Trump, including on a recent episode when panelist Joy Behar suggested that Trump’s potential VP picks were auditioning to be “in the noose” after those storming the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 voiced interest in hanging Vice President Mike Pence.
