King Charles has made it a poignant practice to celebrate the birthdays of some of his closest relatives on social media. This has become a habit that he uses. However, it is possible that the monarch will not take the time to send a public message to one of his relatives, who is scheduled to celebrate their birthday tomorrow.

This coming Sunday, his daughter-in-law Meghan Markle will turn 43 years old. In contrast to the previous year, the royal family did not extend any public birthday greetings to the Duchess of Sussex. In 2022, the previous Clarence House accounts of King Charles issued a birthday message, as did the pages of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William and Princess Kate.

The birthday snub occurred in the midst of a trying year for the Sussexes and the royal family, as per The Mirror. Relations between both sides were at an all-time low after the release of the documentary series “Harry & Meghan” on Netflix and Harry’s contentious memoir, “Spare.”

And despite the fact that the rule regarding public birthday wishes on the Royal Family accounts appears to be that they are designated for working royals, there is a possibility that there is another explanation for why there was no message for Meghan last year.

“I just think that they probably felt it looked a bit fake, given the whole world knows they’re not really speaking much. It would have looked disingenuous and insincere,” royal expert Tessa Dunlop told OK! Magazine. Meanwhile, she also pointed out that if the royals had publicly marked Meghan’s big day last year they would have faced a huge problem—in what photo of her to use.

There is a teaser footage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from an interview that is scheduled to show on television tomorrow. However, Tessa pointed out that the “only photos they’ve had joint with the family were from Queen Elizabeth’s funeral” in the past two years.

In 2022, the social media accounts featured a photograph of the duchess that was shot at the celebrations for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. “You can hardly wish her a happy birthday in all black,” Tessa added.

There is no information available regarding how Meghan will celebrate her birthday tomorrow, and it is not yet known whether or not the royal family will send out any birthday wishes to the public. Nevertheless, the momentous occasion will be her and Prince Harry’s appearance on television in the United States.

Later on today, they will be broadcasting an interview that they have pre-recorded for CBS Sunday Morning. The discussion will be about a new project that is designed to support parents of children who have been touched by online abuse.
