JD Vance attacked Jennifer Aniston for her rebuke of his comments about “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives.” Vance called Aniston “disgusting” and implied she’s “creepy” for praying that his daughter can bear children.
Vance also implied Aniston had creepy thoughts about his 2 year-old daughter
During an interview the Megyn Kelly show, Trump running mate JD Vance addressed the criticism he has received for resurfaced 2021 comments calling those without children as being “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives” with “no direct stake” in the country.
Vance received widespread criticism, including a comment from actress Jennifer Aniston who wrote on her Instagram story, “I can’ t believe this is coming from a potential VP of the United States.”
Aniston also posted MeidasTouch editor-in-chief Ron Filipkowski’s video of Vance’s remarks along with:
“All I can says is… Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter if fortunate enough to bear children on her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF for a second option. Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”
On the Megyn Kelly Show, Vance addressed Aniston’s comments without naming her directly, but referred to her as disgusting:
You have Hollywood celebrities saying, ‘Oh well, JD Vance, what if your daughter suffered fertility problems?’ Well, first of all, that’s disgusting because my daughter is 2 years old and second of all if she had fertility problems, as I said in that speech, I would do everything I could to try to help her because I believe families and babies are a good thing.”
Vance then attempted to paint his side of the argument as being for families and babies and the Democrats as not. Then Vance stated:
“You know, the media has been attacking me and this is how it goes. We cannot give up an inch on this.”
E! Online recently reported on Jennifer Aniston’s personal struggle with fertility, writing: “Back in 2022, [Aniston] shared that she spent “many years” on a journey to get pregnant that included undergoing the process of IVF. “I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it,” Aniston told Allure at the time. “I was throwing everything at it. I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.’ You just don’t think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.””
During the interview, Vance also doubled down on the childless cat lady comments appearing to apologize for the cat part, but also calling his comments “true.”
Vance, who is Trump’s VP candidate and is possibly on a track (hopefully not) to become president one day, is now calling Aniston “disgusting” and implying she is being creepy toward his 2 year-old daughter for being concerned about his extremely negative view toward women.
