JUST IN: Elon Musk’s transgender child announces they’re leaving the US after Donald Trump’s presidential win.
Elon Musk’s transgender child plans to leave the country in response to Tuesday’s election outcome, joining the time-honored tradition of left-wing public figures vowing to move abroad rather than live under a Donald Trump presidency. “I’ve thought this for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me. I don’t see my future being in the United States,” said Vivian Wilson, a 20-year-old college student who was born Xavier Musk. “Even if he’s only in office for 4 years, even if the anti-trans regulations magically don’t happen, the people who willingly…
“Even if he’s only in office for 4 years, even if the anti-trans regulations magically don’t happen, the people who willingly voted this in are not going anywhere anytime soon,” said the Wednesday post on Threads.
The billionaire Musk appeared on the campaign trail in support of Mr. Trump, who was elected to a second nonconsecutive term.
Ms. Wilson is largely estranged from Mr. Musk, a situation that the Tesla founder discussed in a July interview with NBC News, saying that “my son Xavier is dead, killed by the woke mind virus.”
Another left-wing celebrity declaring she’s packing up is Oscar-nominated actress America Ferrera. She plans to move with her husband and two young children to Great Britain, saying she is “sick” over Mr. Trump’s triumph, the Daily Mail reported.
Those who indicated they would relocate abroad after Mr. Trump’s 2016 victory include Bryan Cranston, Miley Cyrus, Lena Dunham, Amy Schumer and Sharon Stone, per The Hollywood Reporter. None did.
Cher declared in 2016 that she would move to Jupiter if Mr. Trump won. And last year she promised that if he were reelected, “this time I will leave.”
Singer Barbra Streisand vowed before the 2016 election and last year to depart if Mr. Trump won.
As far as anyone knows, she and her husband James Brolin still live in Malibu.
Every four years, you hear the same recycled rhetoric from celebrities. It’s become a running joke at this point. It’s ‘all talk, no walk,’” Doug Eldridge, founder of Achilles PR, told Fox News Digital.
